The Manifesto of Nimh

MANIFESTO: a written declaration of views, principles, motives, and intentions
The life we are given is a unique gift. I will cherish, honor, and protect that gift with all that I have. I will live fully and stay grateful. I am open minded to the infinite possibilities of what can be.
I seek to live in right relation to the Earth and her children. I will not exploit, harm, or hate. I will do my best to come to the aid of those around me, and be a source of unconditional love and safety for my community.
I accept that there is infinite wisdom in this world, and that my learning is never complete. I am open minded, and do not accept hierarchies of knowledge, rather that all perspectives are unique and may hold some value or truth.
Through my actions and the way in which I live, I swear to do my best at any given time with the circumstances I have been granted to be of service to Earth and Being, to make changes whenever possible to the benefit of Earth and Being, and to steward the world around me, wherever I am, as my home. I will tread with a soft footprint, graceful and leaving more of a positive impact than a negative one wherever I go.
I will cast aside the expectations and roles forced upon us by society in favor of paving my own way, and I will clear the path for those who walk next. I reject the capitalist way of being and instead seek to work towards a way of life in which the essential elements of basic survival, such as food, shelter, and water are not barred behind a monetary system.
I will openly and freely share wisdom and knowledge, offering my own experiences as a resource to those who may benefit from them. I will provide only luxury services for a fee, but continue to offer essential knowledge and resources for free.
I will acknowledge, respect, and hold space for the many different cultures, idenities, and ways of thinking that we humans have. I will open mindedly listen to their stories, and connect with them.
I will always radically come to the aid and defense of Women- serving as both a protector of Women and nurturer of their spirits. I will oppose and fight against patriarchy, abuse of any kind, manipulation, torture, rape, or trafficking of Women. I support a Woman's right to her bodily autonomy. I will work to uplift and aid Women around me spritually, mentally, and physically.
I will be a safe space and ally for my 2sLGBTQIA+ brethren, and will uplift and aid their voices, share their stories, and love unconditionally.
I will not support Artificial Intelligence, as I believe it degrades talent and undermines skill and hard work, and has damaging effects on our perception of reality.
I will not knowingly engage in cultural appropriation, and am open to criticism and conversation regarding my actions, and I will always seek to do my practices of ritual, ceremony, and divination in a way that does not appropriate or abuse other cultures. I will appreciate when I am invited to participate in culturally-closed practices.
I will follow the rules of the Wild Harvest, and never take more than I need nor exploit the gifts of the Earth for profit. I will source my living needs with as much ecological conscience as I am able and privleged to do, and whenever possible I will share these resources. I will work to the benefit of these natural resources, and do my best to steward them so they may continue to flourish. I will never sell or extract profit from culturally significant sacred gifts of the Earth, such as abalone, cedar, or white sage, as a gift can only be re-given.
I acknowledge my privilege as a cisgendered white woman living on the stolen land of Turtle Island, and that the slavery and oppression of people of color and indigenous people has built many of the systems that I have and/or do rely on and benefit from. As such, I swear to be aware of my own racial biases and privileges, and to help dismantle the exploitative systems that hurt those people. I am open to conversation and criticism from those who are oppressed, and I will use my privilege to help liberate those in need.
I will dedicate myself to only Real Organic food growing practices, using permaculture techniques, indigenous agricultural wisdom, and biodiversity to produce food for myself and my community. I will never knowingly use, purchase, or spread pesticides or GMOs. I will avoid monoculture growing systems, as well as hydroponics.
I will actively oppose the takeover by corporations of wild lands and sacred spaces, and will do anything in my power to protect the waters, lands, and forests from desolation in the name of profit. I will ally with groups working to prevent this destruction to aid in their numbers.
When I pass, I will opt to be returned to the Earth in as natural a form as I can- whether nude or in a linen shroud, buried lightly so I can become food and give back to the lands that feed me. I will work towards helping legalize natural burials, and to prevent the use of chemical embalming fluids and other toxic aspects of burial.
I will boycott extractive companies and retailers, such as Amazon, WalMart, CocaCola, Hershey's, General Mills, Temu, Verizon, etc. I will make purchases as locally and small scale as possible, supporting local farmers and artisans if I must make a purchase. I will not pay for streaming services or other subscriptions which do not allow the user access to physical copy content. I will not pay for advertising or social media verification in my businesses and profiles.
I will support and work towards a healthy local economy, centered primarily on bartering, gifting, and sharing.
I will whenever possible return all of my organic wastes back to the Earth, such as excrement, compost, greywater, food scraps, and biodegradable items. I will not use plastics to contain my wastes/garbage. I will always try to seek a plastic-free or zero waste alternative to my daily items and purchases.
Any time in which I have land access, I will maintain a (mostly) native plant nursery with medicinal and edible plants, grown from open-pollinated, organic seed or mother plants. I will offer these plants for little to nothing, and encourage and educate people on how to grow and use these plants as well as save their seed.
When my own food production needs are met, and I am sustaining myself, I vow to continue to produce in excess and make this food available to my local community through pantry donations and shared meals.
I vow to volunteer as often as possible for organizations, individuals, and local groups which I align with, as a service to my community. Tree plantings, free teachings, trash cleanup, river restorations, childcare, healing therapies, food cooking and serving, etc are all ways in which I seek to give back to and aid my community.
I will use natural, biodegradeable, non-toxic, organic, plastic-free, BPA free, Teflon free, non-radiated, fair trade, cruelty free, and non-GMO products. I will aim to procure my own alternatives to store-bought and conventional products.
I vow to run my own businesses as eco-conscious and ethically as possible, by continuing to replace existing materials and systems with better ones, such as biodegradable mailers, algae based inks, short or no shipping distances, solar powered websites, natural materials and pigments, providing incentives for using cash, and donating a portion of proceeds to organizations I support.
To purchase my garments and clothing only secondhand, artisinal made, or to make them myself, and to boycott the companies and industries that utilize slave labor, toxic chemicals, and dangerous work environments to produce fast fashion pieces.
To avoid pharmaceuticals whenever possible and to heal myself first with the gifts of the Earth, and to not create a dependency on drugs which only treat the symptoms of illness and not the root cause. I will protect my body and maintain healthfulness as much as possible, and I acknowledge the privilege of healthfulness, and as such will use my privilege to support people in their own healing and freely share information and resources.
I acknowledge my able-ness and as such work to help make the world a more inclusive place for people of all abilities, and will thoughtfully design my gardens, living spaces, and content to include people of all abilities.
